COMPUTER staff at Swansea Council are furious after officers recommended that they be transferred to the private sector.
Computer firm Capgemini has been given the £170m contract to set up a computerised contact system over the next decade.
Last year the council's existing IT staff walked out on a two-month strike fearing it could just be the start of "mass privatisation".
Council officers are recommending IT staff be contracted out of council emp- loyment to the private firm.
