Residents in Trimsaran can get rid of their rubbish - without even leaving the village.

A waste amnesty is being held tomorrow between 8am and 11am.

Organised by Carmarthenshire Council and Keep Wales Tidy, residents can take advantage of a one-off chance to get rid of large items of rubbish for free.

Keep Wales Tidy's Pride in Our Communities officer Yvonne Jones said: "We hope as many residents as possible take advantage of this amnesty to get rid of any unwanted rubbish they have around the home."Three collection points will be set up.

The main collection point will be at Canolfan Plas y Sarn. There will be another at the top of the village at Trilwm and a third at Maes Tomos.

Most household waste can be taken along, including bulky items.Asbestos, tyres, paint, garden chemicals, batteries, gas bottles, construction waste and trade waste will not be accepted.
